Subject	Car being sluggish...need help

Message	I have about 68k original miles on my car.(95 TT) I dont drive it much and have now started to use it for commuting to work. Anyhow, I noticed that the car was a bit sluggish in the mornings. Figured I wasnt warming it up since the sluggishness would go away after a few miles. Well today, after about 20 minutes of driving, i'm on the freeway,I stepped on it a bit to pass someone up, the sluggishness was back..I backed off on the pedal, and then accelerated again, it seemed to be fine.. I'm thinking I need to change my fuel filter.. anybody have any other thoughts? What else could it be?
